Urgent Care or Emergencies
If you have an emergency or an acute minor illness occurring during office hours, please call your physician. For life-threatening emergencies, proceed to the nearest hospital emergency department. In the Tulsa area, Warren Clinic physicians use Saint Francis Hospital at 61st and Yale for emergencies and The Children’s Hospital Urgent Care Center at Saint Francis Hospital.

Warren Clinic provides two urgent care clinics in the Tulsa area for times when your physician is unable to see you. Please call your physician’s office first to ensure there are no available appointments. The urgent care clinics treat acute, minor illnesses or injuries. One clinic is located in the Warren Clinic Tower at 6600 S. Yale Avenue. This clinic is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and can be reached at 481-4650. The other clinic is located at the Interchange Plaza Office, 3218 South 79th East Avenue (near 31st and Memorial, next to Embassy Suites Hotel). This Clinic is open 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday and noon to 4 p.m., Sunday.

In Stillwater, the Easy Access Clinic is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday. No appointment is necessary to visit this urgent care clinic.

In McAlester, the extended hours walk-in clinic is open noon to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. No appointment is needed.

Patients covered by HMOs should always contact their primary care physician prior to receiving urgent or emergency services except in the case of life-threatening emergencies.

After-Hours Call Coverage
Warren Clinic physicians arrange 24-hour call coverage and may be accessed through instructions on their individual phone lines.

If a medical situation occurs after office hours, your call will be returned as soon as possible by the Warren Clinic physician on call. If an urgent or emergency medical situation occurs after hours, advise the answering service of the nature of your call.

Specialty Referrals
Should you require hospitalization or the care of a specialist, we are associated with Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa and the many quality physicians who practice there. The medical staff at Saint Francis Hospital has more than 700 members. The vast majority of these physicians are certified by their specialty boards. Nearly all specialties and sub-specialties are represented on the medical staff.

Patients outside of Tulsa may be referred by their primary care physicians to specialists or hospitals in their communities. For maximum benefit coverage, your HMO or PPO may direct you to certain specialists who participate in your plan.

Prescription Refills
Check your medication supply before each appointment to arrange for refills while at the office. If you run out of medication between visits, call your pharmacy. If the prescription needs to be renewed, the pharmacy will contact the office for approval.

Medicare
Warren Clinic physicians are participating providers for the Medicare program. This means patients pay only for the deductible, 20 percent coinsurance and any non-covered service. Our patient account services will file with Medicare for you. Warren Clinic also participates in the CommunityCare Senior Health Plan, a Medicare replacement HMO.

Payment Policies
Warren Clinic physicians participate in many PPOs and HMOs. Applicable copays, payment for non-covered services, or payment for service for which the patient files the claim are expected at the time of visit. Major credit cards are accepted in some Warren Clinic locations. The Clinic will file for payment from your primary insurance company if your physician is a participating provider for your plan. The patient is ultimately responsible for payment. Should substantial medical services be required and the patient is unable to pay the full amount, a payment plan will be arranged.

For billing questions, in Vinita call (918) 256-8731, in Stillwater call (405) 743-7200, in McAlester call (918) 426-0240, in all other locations, call (918) 488-6001, patient account services. Patient Accounting in Tulsa may also be contacted via e-mail at wcpatacct@saintfrancis.com. Please include the patient’s name and date of birth in your e-mail inquiry.

HMO Patients
Warren Clinic physicians are pleased to participate in most area HMOs. We appreciate the confidence you place in our physicians when you choose us as your primary care physician.

To receive maximum coverage under HMOs, both physicians and patients must be aware of HMO requirements. In nearly all instances, referrals to specialists must be approved by the primary care physician or a patient care committee in order for the services to be covered benefits. Specialty and facility referrals must be made to a network or contracted provider. We will make every effort to assure that your care follows your HMO’s requirements, but your cooperation and awareness of policies are also necessary.

Again, patients covered by HMOs should always contact their primary care physicians prior to receiving urgent or emergency services, except in the case of life threatening emergencies.
