Wellness Information

Preventive healthcare is the process of encouraging healthy lifestyle habits, discouraging risky habits and periodically getting certain screening tests. Wellness care, as it is also known, is separate from seeing the physician when sick or experiencing symptoms.

Preventive care needs are based upon an individual's age, gender and risk factor profile. According to the Center for Disease Control the most important things to do to prevent disease and be healthy are:

  • Be tobacco free
  • Be physicially active
  • Eat a healthy diet

Knowing the time frame one should begin different preventive testing is also very important.  View the Adult Preventive Care Timeline* for a guide on when to get the right kind of preventive health services including screenings, counseling and preventive medicines.

Another helpful tool is the Warren Clinic Wellness Care brochure for men and women.  Warren Clinic has created these targeted pamphlets to help Oklahomans become more healthy. The brochures* are available for viewing and printing below.
